Forum News: URL hack installed

Post by emmzee »

If you are particularly observent, you may notice that the links for this message board have all changed. I installed a hack that changes the URLs to make them more search engine friendly. As far as I know, all old URLs should also still work, in case people have links to them in posts or whatever. If people are having any probs please post here to let me know. Thanks all :)

The URLs for the forum are now like:

http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic-nc-t-2604.html

Instead of how they used to look, for example:

http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2604

That's all. :)

Supposedly this makes the forum more "search engine friendly" so that it will be indexed more often and/or more thoroughly. There should be absolutely no change or problems with how the forum runs. I just wanted to check to make sure everything is still running okay, since it's just some hack I found on the phpbb.com message boards, installed on a not-quite-up-to-date version of phpbb ;)
