Space invader would be awesome but way too hard to build.

So, there's an 80's Games theme night coming up and i want a cool costume. Any ideas?? I was thinking of Lemmings, but it was released 1991. Maniac Mansion was another thought, but i already know someone is going as Purple Tentacle and their costume is great. Any idea will do! Movies count as well.....
