Thanks!

It's one of those things. Once you start, it can become addicting. Maybe not for everyone but I enjoy it.

Thanks!

I've been programming for over a decade in PureBasic. The syntax is similar to that. So it shouldn't take me long. ;)

Woohoo! QuickBASIC 4.0

I'm excited! Just got my copy of QuickBASIC 4.0 from ebay today! Installed it on MS-DOS 5.0 and was going through the example source files earlier. Pretty nice included examples to get one started. Looking forward to making a DOS game! :D

Download.com started doing the same thing some years ago. If I want something, I'll download the file for it. I don't want other "suggested" apps or ads compiled in an installer. I miss the days of DOS. Everything is bloated anymore. The good thing is, I can still use DOS or even Windows 9...

Head over there if you're still looking for a copy.
I posted the link to it a couple of weeks ago. Just look at the post above your last post. ;)

Backward compatible mode for CGA monitors. There is an article describing it here: http://www.reenigne.org/blog/why-the-ega-can-only-use-16-of-its-64-colours-in-200-line-modes/ Thanks for the link. That's odd how they did that. I would say most games that were advertised as EGA are really CGA. Kind...

Frenkel wrote:BTW, on an EGA in 320x200 mode you can only use the default 16 colors. In 640x350 you can choose 16 colors from a palette of 64 colors.
Do you happen to know the reasoning for that? One would think you would be able to choose from the 64 colors even in low res, if you can in hi res.

EGA Games

I notice that most games that state they use the EGA color palette, still only use the sixteen colors from the CGA palette. Are there any EGA games that actually use any sixteen colors from the sixty-four colors that EGA offers?

I wanted something different than a tracker, so I came up with Macrotune's layout/gui. There's already enough trackers style editors, as you have pointed out. No need to create another. There is a help file but basically you write verses on their own lines per channel. The verses can then be combine...

I'm not sure what you mean by "format"? Also, I don't know what "MOD" is?
