Ultra Violent Worlds is not as violent as it sounds. It's a vertically scrolling shooting in a similar vein to Raptor and Tyrian. This is a demo, so presumably the full game would be more feature-packed. But the demo version gives you some idea of the high production values of the game, with smooth scrolling 256 color graphics and Soundblaster music & sound effects. The game's level design is pretty random, with ships appearing from all directions (even the bottom of the screen) and the backgrounds sometimes making things confusing. I found myself asking "Can I shoot that or is it part of the background?" a bit too often. But it's decent for what's here. (There was also an Amiga version of this game which may have been the original?)
