Manhole is a simple game that uses some unique controls and nicely drawn graphics, borrowing its concept from the 1981 Game-n-Watch game of the same name. The object is to keep the people walking safely over manholes, all of which lack manhole covers. You have a single cover, and can only cover a single manhole at any given time. So you'll have to be quick to swap the manhole around as more and more people keep walking. It's an arcade-style experience that feels a little like whack-a-mole but with more forethought needed. It uses a VGA mode and has decent sprites for the backgrounds and people. It also saves your high score. Instructions are included in-game!
These are the default primary keys, they can be re-assigned from the main menu:
Q - Move manhole to top left
A - Move manhole to bottom left
P - Move manhole to top right
L - Move manhole to bottom right
Play Manhole in Browser
Game will not be saved after closing your browser. Download and install the game if you want to save.
CTRL-F12 attempts to speed up game, CTRL-F11 attempts to slow it down. See Instructions section above for help playing the game!
