Iago is a variant of the Othello board game (aka Reversi). You (yellow) play against the computer (red) in a fierce Othello-like competition. The goal is to change as many of your computer opponent's red tiles to your own yellow tiles by jumping over their tiles (one or multiple), turning all the tiles you jump over to your own color. That's pretty much it, you can "take back" a move, and the computer seems like a decent opponent to play against. No two player mode though.
For a more thorough explanation of the rules of Othello, see the Wikipedia Reversi page. (Slightly different setup than Othello but it's basically the same.)
