Fate (no relation to the action-RPG of the same name) is perhaps the rarest of the BUILD engine games - the engine used for Duke Nukem 3D among many others. That's because Fate was never released! All we have is this demo. Presumably since its developer/.publisher Intracorp went bankrupt in 1996, that also killed this game. It's unfortunate because what's here seems pretty decent! Simple run and gun but with good production values, and unlike a lot of early 3D shooters, this one has a good "feel", not like you're just wandering through cardboard environments shooting paper enemie. Shame it was never completed!
