Diggers is a demo of an interesting Lemmings-like game that doesn't seem to have been very popular, despite also being released for Amiga systems in addition to DOS. It was described by PC Gamer magazine as being a "combination of Lemmings and Populous, Diggers doesn't quite offer the appeal of either." That's a bit harsh but does seem to sum up the game. The production values of the demo are unquestionably high, and clearly a lot of work went into making the game. It plays like Lemmings in the sense that it LOOKS a lot like it, and you assign your little people things to do. But there is also a lot of other stuff built up around it. Try it out, it may be your cup of tea even though it's not mine! (This demo includes a single level from the full game which contains 40!)
