Astro3D is an interesting game with great graphics (for the time!) and an interesting premise. As you might suspect, it's basically an updated 3D version of Asteroids. Your ship is floating in an asteroid-heavy area of space, and each level gives you a specific mission to accomplish (ex, destroy all the mines). However, the game's controls are a bit wonky, it's hard to navigate around, and even harder to dodge asteroids and the enemy ship's shots. There seems like a decent amount of content here, but the frustrating controls (imagine playing Descent but with no walls to guide you) make playing this difficult. (This game runs slowly in-browser, download and run in DOSBox and it'll run full speed.)
