Albion is an innovative sci-fi RPG with some unique features and also a unique interface. Set in the year 2227, a scientist crash lands on a planet thought to be uninhabited, only to discover there is a rich variety of life there. You explore some areas in a traditional overhead 2D mode, while others in a first-person 3D mode. There are plenty of richly detailed environments to explore (this demo contains the first two scenarios from the full game) and plenty of NPCs to encounter and enemies to fight. The interface can be a bit tricky to get used to and many people dislike it. Nonetheless many consider it a forgotten classic in the RPG genre.
