Play "Half-Life" and you'll see. My God, I laughed for 5 minutes after seeing one for the first time...

Snarks are also the enemies in a old game I would play when I was 6. In Half Life, Snarks are these Bug-like things with "beaks". They bite the living shit out of anything they come into contact with.
