I beat keen 1.

I have 5 lives on keen dreams and over 99 ammunition. When you have over 99 of those things it will only show 99 on the screen but when you throw the thing it will still say 99. 5 is the max amount of lives. I saved thee game and my score is over 64000 and i did not use a single cheat.I will post a pic later today.I have only beat three levels.

I beat all Keens, but the third one. Took a hell of a lot of saving back then. Ahh. *dreams away* Aliens ate my babysitter is still the best.

Ow, I also didn't beat the game boy color one, but that was a piece of crap anyway.

I have beaten super mario back when i used to have a nes,the ds version of super mario 64,gba version of super mario world, all of the jazz jackrabbit games, keen 1 and a some platform games. I have been playing platform games since i was 3 so i have a lot of experiance. I can last forever on laser blast but it is so easy that i get bored of it quickly. I am good at missle command and many other space games.

When i go to startegy games and adventure games and 3d games and i'm terrible. I dleted the shareware versions of duke, quake, doom, wolfenstein because i always get lost.

I found a strategy on a level with a lot of ammo. I know exactly where an easy to get extra live is and i know where all of the items are so i can purposely get myself killed and get the extra live and the items again. That is how i have the maximum amount of lives and over 99 ammo and over 64 thousand points.

That's exploiting, dude... and exploiting is almost like cheating!

I save when their is a lot of enemies near by,take advantage of the extra live for every 20 thousand points, When their is an extra live near i really take advantage of it. It is not officially cheating though.

That is true as i can never beat a game without using a form of cheating. I actually got lost a lot of times in keen dreams.

Not that age is much an excuse, I know a friend that was 12 and could play DOOM and the like perfectly fine, without the automap even, and a 7 year old cousin that can play free-roaming platformers [prime example: Keen 4] without any trouble, so... Is age the question we should be asking?

True enough. I was likewise playing side-scrollers by the time I was 5, RPGs and strategy games at 7 or 8, beat Half-Life when I was 12, and was an admin here when I was 14... but assuming that he's new to computers, and seeing that he types like he's 8 years old, it's a fair question. (And might change my opinion of him somewhat)

Aye, I was playing Descent [albiet not well] when i was around 5, didn't get passably good until i was 8 [aka understand how to move properly] and was beating the later levels when I was 12, and Descent is no easy cookie of a game to grasp.

Though by internet standards, I'm quite new... DGF was my second forum that I joined, and almost immediatly after my first. [which has subsequently died.. not by my hand] But then, I never did learn to type all 'lol me 2' and that until recently, after having been typing full-prose for more than a decade prior..

But still, there could be a whole story like that to go with Abyss, we don't know until he says, I s'pose..

Good to know.

Plenty of room to improve in ye.

I recommend mastering the art of the 'Shift' key, including its applications with the slash/question mark key, among other such common characters.

After that we can move onto the next step.

The padawan shall learn.
