As far as the question adressed in the topic, I have an answer that everything mature, Godly, Christian, and noble inside of me is keeping me from posting here. (Hint: It has something to do with your nickname, Richard)
In any case, I've been noticing that as well. One moment it's running perfectly, the next a page takes 15 seconds to load. What's up with that Emmzee?

Read the announcement ... the server was having troubles, so I upgraded it from 128megs of RAM to 512megs ... should suffice
Also apparently my host was having some other problems yesterday.
