I kinda want an ipod nano ... haven't decided if I'm gunna get one ...

So those of you that own an ipod, can you just load up mp3s in itunes and put them on your ipod? Or are there multiple steps you have to go through first? Cuz I don't want to use apple's itunes service (I'm a member of emusic.com that uses mp3 as their music format) so I just wanna be able to put my mp3s on it ... I remember there was software my brother used to use for his ipod called Ephpod that I could prolly use instead, as long as it works with the nano??

iTunes works with mp3 format.
You don't have to fill your iPod with only Apple Store stuff.

So I can basically just use iTunes to click 'n drag mp3s onto the ipod? I don't have to reconvert them to some other format or anything?

Nah.

I rip my music with a 192 kbps compression using iTunes. It'll be fine.
iTunes supports mp3, aac, m4a, wav, and aiff. It can even support ogg format if you get the plug-in for Quicktime.
