Your description seems to lack something.
Here you have the url to Sharp homepage, they don't seems to know your system.

Maybe it's to old to remain in their DB ? Or you naming isn't correct.
It is a bit a strange question:
It's of course possible you will need a OEM setupdisk, but it should anyway be possible to install a default OS.(maybe with some loss of specific features).
A bit risky to by a laptop that you seems to know so litlle about, hope you don't pay to much.
Good luck anyway.

If it hasn't , now simply install one.SpaceFans wrote:"does Sharp pc-9000 have Operating System in it"

That's fine, for 20 $ you won't easily get ripped. Even if it's junk, no great loss.
A wild guess: a 386 or early 486, that's good news if there isn't a OS installed , on those you always can install MSdos 6.22 or a freedos.
Nice for dosgames, and if you have somewhere a 14" monitor laying around it should be possible to connect it to the laptop, those older laptops had a poor screen quality.
One flaw those old laptops: small HD's.
I had one myself, a 386 with a 20 MB HD, but it was possible to connect a older ZIP drive with 100MB disks, shame it burn'd out.
Still misses that old laptop.Shit happens.
