I would like to see a specific forum for hardware. I'm new here but hardware info seems to be scattered all over the place. True, most is under getting stuff to work but still, might be helpful.

I believe your the newest person here to get an idea added to date but it sounds like an excellent idea. I'll add it. ;)

Thanks

Hey, thanks dude! I'm new to your site but taught myself DOS 3.3 in '89. God, was I happy to see 5.0! (You have a Dosshell fan, here) I consider myself an intermediate user, made my own batch files and a little bit of prog edit work; many hours hardware troubleshooting though.... (loved Spinrite 3.1). Ah, the good/bad old days...

Presently still have maybe a dozen copies of PC-DOS 5.02, on OEM disks. Used to install it to the low RAM machines and such as it's real stable, and also seemed to help alot with the fools wanting Win 3.1 (or older) installed. Is it piracy to pass these off for free + postage? I bought em surplus in 1996.

How long does it take to get past "newbee"? ---Joe cub scout

PC-DOS is the one sold by IBM correct? I still use Dos 6.22 (yes the original disks) I have an original set of DOS 3.3 that came with my 286 packard bell.

I had it. You posted once it was there, and Time Zone wouldn't matter, because it makes post time relative to the user. So, it may be four when goat posted, but it could be five or six once on my screen, because it is that for me.

it5s only reltive to the user if you set the rite time zone in profile.
