How to archive old floppy disks

Howdy all,

I've been hunting all morning for some info on how to do this. The only (sort of) solution I've come across so far is a shareware program called Floppy Image Creator 4, but it apparently doesn't work in all cases. I made an image of my Star Control disk, and then re-wrote it to a blank floppy. It appeared to install from the copy just fine, but it would not start, saying that the program was too big to run in the memory available.

Anyway, I've got a pile of 3.5 and 5.25 disks that I'd like to archive for posterity (yeah, I plan on turning my kids into geeks...) and I need a little guidance. Any help would be much appreciated.

Move/copy all files from diskettes into empty directory and then burn on CD.

Thanks. But that doesn't help. And if you think about it for a second or two, you might be able to figure out why.

I agree, this is what I use and it works nicely.
