So this was a game that a family friend lent me. I was a young child so forgive me if confuse a couple games together.

It was on multiple 3.5" floppy discs if I remember correctly

It was a World War Strategy Game

Basic Graphics

You could capture cities across the world map

Game played top down map

Ships, planes, troops, subs, ships

If you attacked a certain unit with another unit then a "cutscene" would play out. One I remember was if you used a bomber to attack artillery the cutscene looked like a B2 bomber flying and dropping bombs in a 2D scroll.

This would have been late 80s and early 90s?

I believe when the game loaded there was a gloved hand holding the world in it's hand?

Sounds like it was something along the lines of Empire.
