90s/00s Children's Point and Click game

The only detail I remember is playing as a little monster or alien. I don't remember plot but it was a point and click game. The game would be rented on a disc from the library. I was playing Putt-Putt, Freddi Fish, and other similar games during this period. For a while I thought it was the Little Critter series, but now I'm not so sure, as the art style is drastically different than how I remember it (the game I remember had smoother, less pixally graphics). I know this isn't really much to go on but maybe someone out there knows what I'm talking about.
The only scene I remember from the game was in a kitchen. I specifically remember a refrigerator that was interactable, but that's all.
