PC war strategy game [~2000s] [Conquest of the New World]

Hi all, you already helped me couple times, now I do have another one that I cannot find on the web.
This game was:
- a strategy war game that you had to take turns.
- usually you fought on a green grass field that was divided by squares 4x4 (could be wrong on dimension)
- on your side, on each square you could place your soldiers who had rifles or a canon.
- The time game represent was probably ~1550-1600
- It was not a DOS game.
