I am sick of this cruelty to hens and other animals
Battery Hens are kept in cages all day having no fun just laying eggs..

Its a world wide issue

I need all the support i can get to stop this.
One of the things you can do (i know its going to cost 10c more in the supermarket) but buy free range eggs or quality RSPCA eggs, for the chooks.
Im serious here
Dont stuff around

there is a poll too

ambiguous question. better than who? better than me? I dont think so! better than you? why not? better than a piece of shit? hmm, why?
and, "no fun laying eggs" ?....wtf if they want to do something better, why dont they just organize the Chicken Hockey Championship or something.. :cuccoan:
dude, if those things had a brain, hence self-consciousness, then they would do something. but they dont, so...

I say no. IMHO, domesticated animals are being treated better, and more fairly then we humans. Cruelty to animals, euthenasia... AFAI care, if I can still eat them, I'm happy.

Have you ever layed an egg? How do you know it's not fun?

It's all very humane-saves them from old age. While wild hens have to scravenge and peck all day to keep from starving, domesticated ones are spoiled rotten, getting fed each day. Sounds like a fine life to me.

Nooo Would you like to be in a cage where you could stretch or run around though.>

Eggs would be easy to lay as they are soft until they touch the earth

If I was a chicken I would be too stupid to care

You clearly have never heard of the food chain.

*pulls out poster from Simpsons where animals are all pointing to a human*

I think most pets are treated well. Wild aminals get the short end of the stick because they have to deal with humans taking away their habitat at the same time trying not to get eaten.

Animals that are born, raised, and slaughtered in large scale food factories dont exactle get treated too well. The process used to farm chickens is the reason chicken is so cheap to eat today. Back when they were grown on small farms in the 1920's chicken was very expensive compared to pork and beef.

People thinks that they haven't feelings nor awareness and it'd take so much money to make production animals' conditions better that it'd take almost all growers to bankgrupt.

Better conditions means better products, less diseases and enviroment contamination and more works.

Think what'd thou feel if thou'd be one. Would thou want it for thyself?

I don't think so.

Boy it smells

Chooks dont smell in the wild do they?
