The Offical Welcome Back Thread
Hi,
If Michael Jordan, Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Mario Lemieux can do it, so can I.
I'm officially unretired as of my 101st post.
Dogbreath: On my rank, call me an IBM DOS Veteran. I got your e-mail, thanks for understanding.

As Dogbreath said:

I think I don't need to explain moreAll: If you've either left the forum or have been away for a while and have come back, post it here rather than making extra posts.

Nobody's trying to prevent threads... though K0 may be a bit militistic about enforcing the rules. Go ahead and post whatever you want-but in all seriousness, how would 20 threads with one post about someone being back/leaving be better than 1 thread with 20 posts about people being back/leaving? We encourage posting about any subject whatsoever (so long as it doesn't degenerate into spam/flames*) but I don't see how that is related to a sticky for people coming back. It's much like the one for introduction or cool sites-it cuts down on the useless topics and allows users to focus on meaningful ones.
Obviously, unless we hold a gun to your head and duct tape you to the computer, there's no way to make you post. We make the rules and moderate the posts, but we still need users to make the forum active-we can't control that. And finally, as I've said before, there are absolutely no restrictions on making meaningful new threads, feel free to post whenever you want.
*I'm not quite sure what Kazer0 means by "God relations" or "keeping it in the religion topic" since this post isn't centered on religion and the topic mentioned was created to debate theology but to clarify it: you have freedom of religion here so there's no reason not to post regarding faith.

Indeed. He left and came back the same day and the thread became sticky.
I don't think cutting back on spamy threads by having this one designated for leaving/coming back will serve much purpose because, so far, nobody has seriously left/came back and made a thread about it.
The postwhoring/spam should be allowed until it becomes too much rather than trying to nip it in the bud. I would rather post in a spam-filled forum than a desolate forum.
