dos in windows?

Post by Octocon888 »

hi,
This may be a rant but hey we all need something to rant at these days. Anyway I'm getting tired of having to boot into dos because i have a sudden urge to play a game and after spending some time in dos i decide whoa its time to do some godamn work in windows. Therefore i have to reboot into windows which for some takes time. I have winMe whilst its not the best OS in the world i'm not going to downgrade to win98SE.
My question is... is there a program in the world that can emulate dos in windows (not windows dos box) so i can switch from one to the other without having to reboot all the time :)
thx

Virtual PC (previously by Connetix, now owned by Micro$oft) also will do what you want.

There's a free demo, that expires after 30days or something.

You may also want to try out DOSBox first (since, unlike VMWare and VPC, DOSBox is free):
