Adventure With Unique Feature

Can anyone remember a sort-of adventure game with, in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, a box that showed a pixelated enlargement of the area around the mouse cursor???

I remember very little about it, other than that. Something tells me it's front-on isometric (not perspective), and in the demo at least, you walk in to a room and just get shot if you don't do something right. Vague memories hint at it being set in a near-future semi-cyperpunk world, but who knows..

It's the magnification feature that makes it stand out. That's what I'm concentrating on.
