Video Game Blog!

I decided I wanted to re-visit some old NES games... but I felt that I also wanted to share my wisdom of these games whilst playing them. Soooo, I decided to maybe start up a blog of sorts and see how it goes.

That being said, my first project is Golgo 13: The Secret Episode.

<a href="http://nintendodaze.wordpress.com/">Follow it here!</a>

I'm constantly updating the same page... so there's no sort of syndication at this time... Eventually I'd like to have time to be one full game ahead of myself in order to pump out fairly regular updates.

Will do! I just updated it again... I'm adding progression as I go... giving my up-to-date thoughts. I think for future games, I'm going write the whole thing up and then post it... but I wanted to give it a go and see how I liked blogging about playing crappy games. lol.

Fun!

Wouldn't it be easier to just do a video Let's Play, though?

My brother mentioned that "Let's Play" as well... wtf is it?

It's basically a video recording of the game as you play it with your added verbal commentary, most of the time with the purpose of showing the viewers the game, rather than simply playing through it cursing at every cheap death.

Like, this one.

edit: I don't think reading every line of dialogue in a custom voice is necessary. It does add to the fun tho'.

oh, I thought about it... but then I'd need a mic and some decent screen capturing software... and the time/software to edit it all.

Is there a specific site for these "Let's Play" things? Or is it just a upload-to-youtube kinda thing?

Read your article; A good read. I'd honestly never heard of that particular game before, but am rather curious about it now. XD

The bulk of the let's plays are uploaded to YouTube, but some people have their own websites they use. It really depends on the one that's making it.

Also, short of the working microphone, it's not all that hard to get a LP going. Just grab CamStudio from SourceForge and record a play session. You don't even have to do much editing, at most, sticking together a couple video files in whichever free video editor you like.

Making my way through the 3D maze -- updated!

**Top secret info**
I'm also working on a playthrough of P'radikus Conflict. It's an AWESOME space-exploration game kinda like Warpath. Fans of that genre should check it out for sure! It'll be up once I've completed the game (I'm playing it on my iPod Touch's NES emulator)

Or not enough mem to store data or more probably lazy coding ....

You really liked the game, didn't you....?

That is entirely possible

It's really not *that* bad of a game... but at the same time, it's also not that good of a game, either.

There are 2 games for the NES, actually. What's the anime like?

Also, I'm mid-move into a new place, so the blog is on a bit of a hiatus.
