Hey guys this forum is really amazing, good job

anyway, i was wondering if you guys knew about a game that involved a time machine that took this guy into the past, into the Jurassic era then the Egypt and the middle ages and so on. I remember each level had a boss that you had to kill, for example in the medieval level you had to kill a dragon with a water gun, and in the Jurassic level you would find these eggs that had a question in them, and by each correct answer a bit of a golden diamond would be reviled lol. at the end of each level you would get a golden diamond that you put in the time machine. Id be more than pleased if you guys answered me

Sounds vaguely like some Chrono Trigger knockoff. Not AE, though, AE didn't have time travel.

heres some more info that might help, it was cartoonish, it wasnt a puzzle game.
I remember in the egypt level you had to find a gun that shot cloth, and you had to shoot a mummy with it to wrap it up. but yea definitely at the end of each level there was a big golden diamond that you would get for defeating the bosses.

Adv.exe is a old game from 1977 its words only text based and xyzzy is a magic word plugh too but open seaseme is an old worn out word witch doesnt work Removed by Wally, you don't need to smiley this post out
if you want adv.exe i have it its a dos based game the ovl file is from an old wordstar program if anyone out there has wordstar let me know so i can look at the adv.ovl file and read on how it thinks..

nope, if you have read the description i wrote at the beginning i mentioned that its a good old game that uses arrow keys and space to jump.
but yes i do believe that it was on DOS.
One more thing that might help you guys figure out what game im talking about.
in one of the levels, you had to acquire a mask that would fool a guy who was standing behind the door and checked people through the peeping hole in a door.
i also remember that at the beginning, the menu had a swirling orange and red background

I have played Time Commando. The one I'm looking for is older with 2D graphics maybe early 1990's.
