Who does everyone like?

More importantly, who does everyone think will win?

As for myself, I'm a friend of Ron Paul. I have this sick feeling in my stomach that Nit or Mit or whatever-the-fuck-his-first-name-is Romney will end up winning.

Who ya'll got? Hillary? Obama? Guliani? Let's name names, talk policy, and get down to the nitty gritty.... or just disintigrate into insulting one another and making yo mama jokes.

Feel free to do so ........... if you want the thread to be locked!! *ahem* Continue ... :D

Personally I don't know enough about the candidates to make an informed choice; since I will have no vote in the election I'm not especially motivated to devote a lot of time towards finding out.

Let me put it that way:
Do you care what the elections are like in Europ?
No.
That's about how much I care what your elections are.

Far from my bed and far from my mind.
And to be honnest: it's all about the money in the US, one big TV show.
Cheergirls, tits and legs, and plenty balloons.

But it gives some nice pictures when the votes are counted, seems the US still are in the stone age.
What a joke.

Oh there really is an Obama? Misread first, thought it was Osama ... HAHAHAHAHA

Barack Obama, often called Iraq Osama. He's one of the top democratic candidates. FTW, I'm planning on voting for him in the primary, just to undermine Hilary. I'll probably end up voting for Romney/Paul/whoever if Clinton wins the DNC nomination, though.

And the comment about Americans not paying attention to European politics isn't entirely fair. I actually DO pay attention to the politics in major European countries (France, Britian, Germany, Spain, Russia etc.) but the problem is that there're many many European countries. If Europe elected one president to rule the entire continent, you can bet Americans would care a lot more. (For example, do you know who the governor of Michigan is? Or Illinois? Or Arkansas? Same deal)

No.
European presidents are presidents of independent countries, not of 'some' states.

Hey spacefans I think when you write everything in one sentence and say it over and over it's really annoying and run on yeah I think so.

Ro@m: I gave a speech on Tito for my final in my first semester of High School... though I always thought of him as being more of a dictator myself.

FWIW, Obama won the Iowa caucus yesterday, destroying Clinton and Edwards with a 8% advantage. He's got something most of the candidates lack: he's an excellent orator. Let's see how far he takes this...

(And why does it take America a year to elect our president? Other nations get it done with in a month)

You're both wrong. Guiliani WAS the mayor of New York. He is no longer. However, much of his campaign seems to be based off sympathy he can get for being mayor during 9/11.

Too bad Chuck isn't running for president, he'd probably win...

Maybe he would win, but if he would be a good president ... I doubt that.

I'm just glad Obama won the caucus. I couldn't stand Clinton as a president.

In all seriousness, if we're going to get a woman president, we need a Republican candidate. With a Democratic woman as our president, there are many countries that would not take us seriously...a big majority from the Arab World. A Republican woman would have the balls to bomb the crap out of the Middle East if needed.
