Yeah Jolie does have quite the complete physical package, now if only she'd work on her acting skills. Image

Dude, Jolie is a pretty damn good actor.

With that said, I suppose I could tell you all the character I'd like to be.
Hm, I've read a lot of books....
Usually I like to make up my own characters and incorporate them into the story, changing it completely. Or, mostly. Yeah, fan fic, only in my head rather than writing it down.

I can't even remember most of the books I've read that had actual characters that I'd like to be.
How about Lena from Sisterhood of the traveling pants. Yes, a thouroughly GIRL book.
Either that or an elf in Lord of the Rings.
Ulitimatly, the character I made up for it.
(Uh huh, I tampered with the classic LOTR book.) B)

Dude, there's several fiction books based on the DOOM games:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/searc ... .y=0&Go=Go

There's at least four ... #1 is "Knee-Deep in the Dead" and #4 is "Endgame". I have not read any of these, but they surprisingly received some good reviews on Amazon. There's also that book about id Software & the making of DOOM (and their other games) called "Masters of Doom : How Two Guys Created an Empire and Transformed Pop Culture".
I've read Knee Deep in the Dead, and Hell on Earth. They both kick ass.

Maybe you've seen some of her movies I passed up, but thus far in most of the movies I've seen her in all she really had going for her were her looks.

Orrr....
Maybe you just don't know how to judge good acting...
It's much harder than it looks, by the way.

Well I know that, but off the top of my head I can only think of 5 films I've seen her in.

1. The first Tomb Raider, that was just crap. There’s no 2 ways about it.

2. Original Sin, she actually didn't do too bad an acting job in that film I guess.

3. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, I dunno, I just thought she didn’t do that good a job in this film.

4. Gone in 60 seconds, bah had nothing on Nicolas Cage. ;)

5. Girl Interrupted, actually she did do a very good job in this film from memory.

Girl interrupted is by far her best. Course I like the storyline...
Her Tomb Raider character could have been better executed, but she did have a coy attitude that really got you in some moments. THe storyline they threw in there was pretty weak though.
Haven't seen original sin.
Sky captain and the world of tomorrow was such a strange movie. But she makes a strangly satisfying "creepy" woman. Villian-esque, if I remember it correctly.
Nicholas Cage...
He both annoys me to no end, yet I love him a lot.

Yeah can’t go past a Cage film, he makes the movie. :P And yeah Sky Captain was a really, really strange movie. I thought it was pretty good though, campy epic motion picture 40s style in a sense. I think that's what they were going for anyway. It could have been done better but it was pretty low budget so I guess they did the best they could.

I wouldn’t really recommend Original Sin to anyone, I dunno it’s just not that good of a movie. Girl Interrupted was a great film, I love the quote “You know, taking us for ice creams in a blizzard... makes you wonder who the real whack jobs are.”

Just to spike my own interest what is it about him that annoys you? Was it a specific movie or just him in general?

You know who annoys me? Hugh Grant. He's so....GUH. And everyone seems to love him. He's not even good looking, in my opinion.
But this is kind of going off topic from booooooks....

Since I'm a mod I can take things off topic just long enough to say for once we're in full agreement, Huge Grant is a tosser

*ahem*

Yes now back on topic.

I think I wouldn't mind being the God Emperor of Dune.

Though I would still want to be a character in my soon-to-be-published Snowcraft book. I love the setup I made there.......
