Two movies yesterday night, yes: two, because one of them hardly classifies as movie, it's a piece of shit and only good to view in 2xspeed and 8xspeed.

The piece of shit is: Ye yan, AKA The banquet, this ain't a movie but somekind of look we can do all kinds of idiotic things dressed in old Chinese costumes and fly around.

Second one was slightly better, not really good but also not total crap:
San wa AKA The Myth with Jackie Chan.
Not one of his best, not one of his worst. The story is a bit weird, but the movie is enjoyable if you want some recreation and have nothing better to do a Sunday winter evening.

Fixed The Myth link. <3 Worm

You should def watch it. It's about one of the worst crimes against a person in the history of the USA.

Valkyrie

I wasn't expecting much, but the movie was actually pretty well made. It feels more of what really happened, without dramatizing the 20 July Plot too much.

I liked it because it was a bit more cerebral than other movies coming out today. In fact, I even had a lengthy conversation about this coup attempt. It actually really sparked my interest.

Finally watched Live Free or Die Hard , AKA Die hard 4.
Not bad, as long you're watching it with your common sense shut down.
Lots of spectacular action, and hackers that get in 3 seconds in any PC system ..... *sigh*.

Saw once again the Terminator series, still damn good movies.
It's rare that sequels are as good -or better- then the first, but I must say that the third one is my favorite.
The *She'll be back* from Arnold after he tried to trash the T-X made me kinda laugh again.

Back in the boxes, will watch them again in a year or 5 .... or so.

I've actually worked out a formula on how to figure out of some movies will suck. It's like this:

If the title is unoriginal, and contains a verb to describe what the movie is, then the word "movie" after it, there's a really good chance that movie will suuuuck.

examples:

Date Movie
Epic Movie
Disaster Movie
Not Another Teen Movie (this one tries to trick you by using many words before "movie")

The "Scary Movie" movies are iffy, they're kinda funny, but really, still not worthy of being watched.

The first Scary Movie was sorta humorous; the 4th one wasn't bad, but that was directed by one of the Zucker brothers.

Date Movie, Epic Movie, and Disaster Movie were all made by the same no talent hacks that made Meet the Spartans. Just avoid those directors.

Not Another Teen Movie, while not Oscar worthy, certainly had it's moments.

PS This movie may be related.

:upset:

Some movies are simply good because they are kinda crappy, one I always liked was Dark Star from 1974.

But 'Disaster movie' and 'Vague Genre Movie' are simply total crap, nothing but really nothing good to say about those.

The Vague Genre Movie trailer is actually just making fun of the (genre) movies.

I just watched Amadeus and I gotta say... it's one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen in my life. It just blew me away!! I've always been a great fan of Classical Music and Mozart was one of my favorite composers... and now I think I'm an even bigger fan of his music than ever!!

I saw a small bit from it during a Western Classical Music appreciation seminar my dad, my brother and was eager to watch it since then.
