TombRaider

Post by tonyf »

Hello all.

I got to this site through the how to use DosBox thread-it proved invaluable as I am just learning to play Dos games on my XP system.

Thanks.

However I have an early TombRaider I downloaded which has good working graphics but no sound. I ve tried the VDMS to the best of my ability (not much knowhow)

The game is really good, and, like most dos games, very atmospheric. however sound would help with anticipation of wolves and bears and suchlike.

Can anyone give any help, advice, links?

-> Dosbox 0.72
-> Soundsetup:
Soundblaster
Adr 220
Irq 7
DMA 1

Works fine, read the stickies first.

You're welcome, no bother at all.
Should you encounter more problems, feel free to ask.

And also specify if your download is about the demo from this site or a full game(CD?). Can be helpfull info to solve problems.

To be honnest, I don't use dosbox anymore for Doom.
jDoom is much better.
It's a win32 port to run Doom on.
More info and downloads@

Official site (temp down now it seems)
http://www.doomsdayhq.com/

But you also find the same@
http://archive.doomsdayhq.com/jdoom.php

Read the excellent documentation section.
