Sarkozy. Kind of a hardliner wannabee. Personally I think it's more about politics, give the negociators some punch. Put some extra pressure on Iraq and North Korea.

The whole thing is a bit bizar, as France has his own nuclear weapons.
So they hardly can can say that others aren't allowed to have them.
Oh yeah, I forgot, we are the good guys, we may have them, yeah sure.

Fact is that the Sarkozy administration is more USA oriented than the predecessor.
Politics, pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffrrrrt.

Well, it was either Sarkozy or that crazy bitch Royal, so lesser of two evils, right? Better than having France going to war for 3 days of every month... (Sarkozy had a lot of people here rooting for him.. and bribing him)

And, yeah, I'm pretty sure it's mostly a bunch of hot air. But still, France usually doesn't threaten military action. Another leader in GWB's pocket? Or is he just trying to be a "tough guy conservative"?

Oh well, he is a hardliner. The 'Law&Order' type, Vive La France, Vive La République.
Shows in the way his administration is behaving. Now the strict immigration laws are almost a fact. More repression against streetriots .... rebuilding a stronger (effectiver) army ... and so on.
Not a bad thing afterall.

And of course, where I live now, Belgium, when it rains in Paris it drups here in Brussels. So the right-nationalists begin to raise their voices, and with increasing succes.

And Royal, with such a name you can't make it in a republic.
She's a dumbass anyway. Always was.

Politics in Tinman47's lounge!!! ...... Oh well, it's a trashcan this lounge.

Didn't she flip out and start yelling, then crying during one of the debates? I didn't read all the articles about them (local newspaper only covered the major ones), but I thought "shit, this could be the president of France in a couple weeks..." She and George could have prayer meetings. :)

She was cornered by Sarkozy during a debate on TF1 ( or was it A2?) don't remember.
The debate was on youtube, but it has been removed .....:/
Even if those telly debates are guided and the topics they will cover are known before it actually starts, she was cornered several times by Sarkozy.
She was not fast enough, not adrem enough and couldn't reply in a proper way when Sarkozy really attacked her. Not that this happened regulary, but once or twice is enough to lose credibility in a debate.

*Edit
Found one of the incidents during the debate, longwinded , as always in politics, Segolène loses her nerves in the last 5 minutes against an adrem Sarkozy.
French talky of course.
On TF1 it was.

Native French, and learned Dutch later. Belgian (Flanders) Dutch of course, not that shitty Dutch from the Netherlands.

He's a French citizen, so it'd be pretty weird if he didn't.

(then again, there are millions of people here that don't speak English... *cough*Spacefans*cough*)

LOL Enough about politics. Emmzee might be part of the United States Federal Government and he might track me down and put me in Area 51...
So talk about something else... Anybody interested in getting Halo 3? It comes out tommorrow. I for sure know I am not. :o

(Halo 2 wasn't very good, so I don't even want to know what Halo 3 is going to turn out to be)
