Who was crazy enough to give you the idea to start a coldie lounge topic?
He should be banned.

Why scary whilst driving over a glued bridge?
Planes (oh yes also jumbo jets) are mostly glued together.
They don't crash, do they?

Click the edit button on your first post and change it yourself, I would change it but I'm still debating whether this needs a lock or not, that and I don't know what it was before dosraider changed it.

Ok so you found out (thanks to TSM) how to re-edit your topic title.

I've merged a double post of you above.
That's the deal Coldie: DON'T double-triple-quadruple post.
Our little board isn't a chatterbox.
You have an edit button, use it.
Sometimes we allow double posting, IF it's really an important post you need to add and asking attention to it, or IF the previous post is at least let'say 1 or 2 days old, but even then you'd better have a good reason to double post.

As I said before, admins and mods are usually lenient applying rules, just don't exaggerate, spam too much and your posts will be deleted and/or your topics locked.

Oh yeah, did you glance @TeH Rulez yet ?
Take a look at them.

All said in friendship, pumpkin.

Please! Do so! He's practically, ASKING FOR IT!

And, personally I have nothing against a random-chattering thread. As long as it's kept clean!

And by that I mean no double/triple/blahblah posting, and eh... well just keep it clean! :P

Oh, and t3h rulz! Let's not forget about them

Now that we're in a 'girl's lounge topic', you think she will make some coffee for us?

What do you mean? There's no such thing as a babe that knows how to use a computer!

Ow yes, surely there is a babe that can use a compy, there is such one babe you know.
But she's really busy now, she's trying to find a key with 'ANY' on it.

Now that I think 'bout it, there is a SECOND one, yay!!!
But she's also busy now, she's on a Mac, you see.
That one is searching the cd eject button.

My wife is my ex-wife (been married 20 years, divorced 11 years ago, and once was enough) no gamer but is on chatterboxes.

My oldest (son-27) is a gamer, mainly FPS, compy savvy. Dos gamer too.
My second (daughter-23) is a gamer, plays everything and knows all about PCs. Dos gamer too.
Third one (son-20) is a gamer, FPS only (Counter Strike :/ ), compy n00b.
All my children could type their names before they could handwrite.

The grandchilderen:
Granddaughters 6,4 and 3 are all compy crazy.
Grandsons are 5 and 2, and also compy crazy, can't have enough of it.
One of my old P1 is setup specially for them. Poor P1 :/

mùµp
Oh !! I made typos, sorry folks, my Tipp-Ex is empty, can't correct it.

He's asking for babes, Gamer, not for babies.

:D

Oh Coldie, with your small kids, that's one they gonna like a lot, they will love it. Mine couldn't get enough of that drawing program:

Still is on my ol PC for the grandchildren, they love it, really.

Read about it here:

The link is still valid. It's only a 1.49Mb download.

Can't be strong enough, it seems I lack a lot of sleep. Darn, sometimes I'm 20/24h 7/7 online, standby ........ Killing me slowly that job.
coldie wrote:Oh, and my kids are not aloud to tuch my computer!
Try that kidpix proggy, it has a (basic) child lock, they can't do much harm on your compy. Your oldest is old enough to learn it.
Or at least download it and store it somewhere, that link won't last forever.
Sooner or later you will get a newer PC, let the kids use your ME PC then. How younger they learn to use it how smarter they will be later on a PC.
Just a thought ...... really sound as a granddad here , lolz.

I think we all miss Julie here, she was always a funny poster.
She moved to 'big city', wrote somewhere she has 2 jobs and was attending a course session she wanted to do, as TSM mentioned.
Yeah, life can be hectic when growing up.

Dosraider: IMHO, once is too much. ;)

And, I could actually navigate a DOS-prompt before I could read. Well, I could read in that I could recognize "C" and "dosshell" and "game" and "chdir" and the names of all my favorite games, but I had no idea what they meant, just what they did.

I mananged to crash the computer 6 or 7 times before I was 5, and destroyed a keyboard by dumping apple juice all over it, too.

When I was 7, I got my own computer (the old 386 (upgraded to a Pentium in '96) that I had "broken in" in my youth, along with 2 shareware CDs full of games, and countless floppies. From that point on, I was a lost cause.

It's good that most of your kids are computer literate. There are too many 13-year old morons who know just enough to open IE and torture the rest of us in this world.
