Hamachi?!?
So... I downloaded this thing, installed it, and from what I see, it creates a fake LAN, over the internet.
see www.hamachi.cc
Download the client, run it, create your account(via the client), and join DGF network, password being X-Mas.
I wonder if this thing really works... just check it out.

[10:49:05] you round there Vincent?
[10:53:00] yup
[10:53:15] good...so how does this thing work anyways?
[10:53:43] Well, if the network is active, and it is right now
[10:53:53] go on....
[10:53:54] if we start the same game we can use a lan network
[10:54:02] one makes a server, the other joins
[10:54:05] cool
[10:54:06] hamachi makes sure it's found
[10:54:14] do you have to go to school today?
[10:54:18] it should work with most games, hopefully
Voila, a manual.

You are in fact, simply said, opening your network, which could be potentially dangerous if you're dumb. Don't leave it on while you're not there.
Edit: Safer would be getting the password out of the OP, and give it only on request via PM. Or something.
Edit2: Better yet, create an entire usergroup just for the occasion. Where other people don't know the password.

Lol the funny thing is that I just did that... without reading this thread...
For a while, till I take this to the admins, the password will be on my personal message on MSN.
Actually, I think I'll make a new network.
Dunno, stick around MSN to find out more.

Once this is all sorted I'll make up a new thread with the details and also add links to the IRC channel, though, I would advise against posting the password out in the open, that totally defeats the purpose of having on in the first place.
If enough people are interested I’ll talk to emmzee about creating a new usergroup specifically for this.

Cool... Right now, I'm downloading the multyplayer games off HOTU... I want to know which of those actually work with Hamachi, cuz it seems that some don't see the network(such as Doom, Warcraft, Atomic Bomberman and some others).
Any help with this would be apreciated.
Oh and I will delete the "DGF network" network today, so get on MSN!!

just get the demo of doom95 and use hamachi to make a lan and play doom95 over lan... or go to certain types of sites and get full doom95 for free...
if you do ill gladly play you larry laffer and anyone else.
as some may not know... there isnt a central server (i think) for doom95 anymore which is why you would need to use hamachi or similer...
