BAM and the dirt is gone.
Q:How do i get jazz jackrabbit, and many other Runtime error games working.
A: Its quite simple. Download <a href="http://www.qmw.ac.uk/~ugah006/gotools/t ... Tppatch and then place that in c:\windows\system32.
Go to command prompt then browse for your game (i.e. C:\jazz).
Type tppatch Jazz.exe and you should get fertig...Ok
Then you can play Jazz Jackrabbit as normal but sound may not work. Unless you useVdmsound which is another story.

just download any direct x ports like EDGE or Zdoom my little guest friend
One time I had a Jack and coke and it had a lime in it, And I saw that the lime was floating. That's good news man. Next time I'm on a boat and it capsizes, I'll reach for a lime... I'll be water skiing without a life preserver and people'll say 'What the hell?' and I'll pull out a lime...and a lemon too. I'm saved by the buoyancy of citrus.
complete and utter n00b here
Could someone please give detailed instructions for running Jazz Jackrabbit for someone who has downloaded both the game and tppatch files but has absolutely no idea what the heck to do next? I've got Windows XP, if that changes anything.
Use dos box and don't run the game with the tppatch. It is much easier to just use dos box 0.63 to run the game. Do not use vmd sound either. All you need is dos box. All you have to do is uninstall Jazz jackrabbit than reinstall it with a shortcut to the game made. Put the shortcut into the dos box folder. And drag the shortcut of the game onto the white and blue dos box file. It is so much easier to do than the tppatch.

I heard it about in early 2003, i believe it was just released and wasn't really user friendly. Actually to play a dos based game you had to copy the dosbox.exe appication file to the game folder, when you needed to play them you had open a command prompt via Windows XP and type in the folder location, dbox and game name.exe for the game to actually work.

About jerky keys...
I'm using Windows xP, and every DOS game I try to play, has "jerky" keys (the keys respond only a few seconds later or not at all). Does DOSBox fix this problem or do I need some other application?

Depends on what type of keyboard you are using?
PS/2 or USB?
