SIM CITY

Post by Mr.Guimo »

REMEMBER: ONLY SERIOUS POSTS.

Hey.
I don't think we have a threed about Sim City so i create one. My self i love these games and my favorite of all Sim City games is Sim City III. It's a feeling thats un-discrible.

Question: Do you think Sim City one, two, three and four is good games and why?

Question nr II: Do you use to play Sim City games any longer?

Other questions, hints and tips?

Yes, yes and yes. I've got almost all simcity games, as in 1, 2000, 3000, 4+expansion and I love it. A little building here, a little building there. It becomes more balanced with every part. 5 is already in the making (not actually officially confirmed, but it is) and It'll probably be 3d, so I'm looking forward to that.

What's question 2, about the features?

^
Nice to hear that you love this games just like me. A favorite of my in Sim City 3000. I love the game-music. I'm getting harmonius when i listening at it. So a NEW Sim City is under construktion?. That would be very nice. I also have all of the Sim City series and i LOVE them too. 1 to 10 ill give Sim City a 10

Mr.Worm: Sim City 2000 is fun to but it's more FUN then just make the time past by i think. :)

I played the original, and 2000 for awhile. They were fun. In fact, I think I'll go play it right now ... :D

They're cool games but I gave my Sim City CDs to a friend who split town and I don't think I'm gonna ever get them back :(

Hmmm anyone have money cheat programs for the original DOS SimCity? I mean like a trainer program or something, I know about the FUND code. I used to have several that let you modify different variables about saved cities, as well as a little .com file that you ran to instantly just give you $13,000,000,000 or something

The DOS version has some pretty weak cheats.

cass - gives you $250, but if used too many times, a firestorm will occur.
fund - lets you take out a $10,000 loan at 25%.memy - performs a memory check.
torg - gets you $500,000 (version 1.10 only).
vers - gives you your game's version info. ;)

[[If you use Macintoch, it will have greater cheats.]]

This thread is pretty much dead by now but in case anyone stumbles upon it in the future and wants some cheats for the DOS version ... I uploaded a 6k .exe file here that gives your city $16,000,000 :P

See here for more files for the original DOS SimCity: (see DIR.BBS for descriptions)

You need to build roads to neighboring cities. That will help.
