Needless to say you should-of tried the Forum Sugestions board!
er... I wonder... what would be the use? And this I realy want to know(apart from this forum), being member in an usergroup grants you special rights?

As in if I'd join the Webmasters group... what good will it do besides receiving mass-emails if needed?

Don't know but Ze Underground would be nice, but Webmasters is the only one there you MAYBE could get a place. I haven't really understand what these usergroups do, and whats the good thing to be a member in one of them?, but it sound like a funny thing so why not ?

a user group is just a bunch of users... all it does is allow the mods/admin treat the whole group instead of on a per user basis... thus they can ban a whole group :) or something similar...

Also admins have in their admin panel the option of "Mass-email" and you can either select all members or all members in an usergroup :P

I don't think you should worry about getting spam mail from this site!

If you have a good idea that you think would merit its own board, I'm sure you could talk to one of the admins about it.

Like, if there was a special event, like let's say a Game Creating Contest, you could ask DB or emmzee to start the board. Then, they could also make you a moderator of this board so you can control it.

Yea, if you want a special board setup for an event, contest, etc just let me know and I'll set it up. As far as usergroups go though they seem pretty useless to me ... and as noted, seem to die out rather quickly.

Actualy, come to think of it, they're not useless! You feel proud just by saying
"Wazza, I'm a member of the "We're 1337" group! YOU NOOBS"

Yeah, I agree. That's why unless it's a special event, they're not worth it.
