Original DOS Games in the Box or just the disks?

Post by Unknown_K »

Do you collect DOS games in their original boxes or just the disks and manuals?

I regret years ago tossing the boxes for most of my old DOS games, anything I collect now stays in the box.

What about you guys?

For those DOS / Windows games CD-ROMs that I bought with boxes. I put them with the manual back into the CD case and into the boxes. Then they go into the cupboard. Probably that how I keep things. Even my calculator still has it's box. :D No wonder I have too much stuff. Anyway, I've only bought a few of those. Most of the games that I bought are best sellers. They just come in the CD casing with the manual so there are no boxes. Those dos shareware CD-ROMs that I bought ages ago also have no boxes. Basically, I keep them in as original a form as possible.

For those CD-ROMs that came with the cereal, I keep them in the flat cardboard since it had no plastic casing.

When I sold away my Gameboy Colour for a token of $US6, it was as good as brand new. It has the box, manual, and even the plastic covering. Since I hardly used it (used only a few times), it looked as good as brand new. It was a waste of money as it cost me US$147.

The games that i OWN were bought when i was a kid. As a kid, they were a new toy. Right now i don't even have the CD's for a lot of my original games, let alone the boxes and manuals.
