After thoroughly reviewing all three ‘mainstream’ browsers and reading much information on them, it seems Opera 9 is the best overall solution. IE7 is just an attempt to catch up to Firefox and Opera, not a bad attempt, but still lacking in many areas. For everything Firefox lacks there is an extension to fill that, but Opera comes with the majority of these things as standard and it’s very easy to use. They’re also well ahead of the competition when it comes to tabbed browsing which is to be expected since they were the first to implement it.
Anyway, all the new browsers that are coming out are nice improvements on what’s currently available; Opera is the only one that’s not a beta so expect some stuff to be stolen from it by the other two. If you’re looking to switch, I’d say go with Opera, but if you’re comfortable with what you use now then stick with it, they’re all good browsers in their own right. Personally I’ll be sticking with Firefox.
