The universe of DOS gaming is big and overwhelming. It lies in confusion and disarray. While each DOS game website and organization in and of itself is well run and organized, as a whole, the DOS games universe lacks any serious co-ordination and harmony.
Bloc DOS Games hopes to help that. It is more than just another DOS game-related organization. It is a new way of life, and a new attitude towards DOS games. It is a new DOS gaming universe, that shall remain as a separate universe yet attempts to make sense, and try to make use of, the existing DOS game universe.

Erm, what the heck is Bloc DOS Games actually going to be? I don't mean metaphysically, I just mean practically. How will it be organized and what will it do?
As soon as I get around to it, there should be a website created.
Each DOS game would receive a "Bloc Game Profile", including a screenshot, a short description, and the websites where it can be downloaded (i.e. DOSgames.com, DOSgamesonline.com, Home of the Underdogs, etc.).
As each game gets "Bloc'ed", Bloc DOS Games eventually hopes to be the one stop shop for downloading DOS games, since it will tell you where to find a game, plus it will tell you enough about a game to see if you want it or not.
The main goal, while it may take a LONG time to accomplish (if it ever gets accomplished), is to have one giant site that allows you to find any DOS game that comes to mind, or to find DOS games you've never heard of before by looking at the name. Since BDG would host few or no games, server space is nothing to worry about.
The idea here is a one-stop shop, other possibilities include detailed game info, each game would have its own "Bloc" profile, thus each individual game would have its own little world, with links to almost everybody that offers the game for download, and whatever else may pertain to the game.
It may take a while before this comes to fruition. But the important thing is that BDG has begun.
If too much doesn't screw up along the way, I hope to present a small fraction of what the finished product would be, and maybe offer one "Bloc'ed" game, with comprehensive info about it, in a simplistic layout.
Well if this ever gets going it has a lot of potential, but so do a lot of things and they often flop. I sincerely this doesn’t as it sounds quite good and would be rather useful. There are many sites where you can simply search for games that are hosted elsewhere, but nothing in the way of descriptions or profiles are included.
Which now leads me to a question, are you posting here to simply inform a community that would have interest in such a site, I.e. advertising yourself, or were you also seeking assistance in the way of the said game profiles and download locations?

With DOSGAMES.COM seeming to be the flagship website of DOS games, I thought it would be fitting to announce the concept.
The hardest part is that there are probably over 10,000 DOS games out there, so I may never get them all.
Nonetheless, if anyone has any ideas for improvement I'd be happy to see them.
So far here's an example:
Cash Invaders

Short description
Sites to download it from
That would be the simplest and maybe best way to approach this. I wouldn't think there be a need to put other loaded info like author, year, license, etc. it would take way too much time.

This is spam. Have you actually looked at this website? Ranking, Short Description, Screenshot, and Download. Sound familiar?
The idea is ...uh not original, but it shows that you're trying. But first, you should be willing to actually get some decent hosting and host your own games. Linking to DOSGames (i.e. leeching off someone else's bandwidth), without clear explicit consent is, in my opinion, criminal.
When you have something new, exciting, and rock-solid, come back and put it in the spam thread.
