there is no sound and when i go into install.exe there is NOTHING just a box with it saying with a bar at the to dark forces inst bla bla blaq help!

Try setup.exe, if I remember correctly, there WAS a difference. I could be wrong though. Full version or demo?

Ok are you using any emulators? If not go grab ScummVM. It's pretty simple to use and should come with a readme file, if you can't get it working feel free to ask for further assistance.

According to ScummVM's documentation Dark Forces is not the type of game that will work using their program. It's targeted at the LucasArts game that used the SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion) system.

I've had success with VDMSound and Dark Forces. You'll want to install not only VDMSound, but also VDMlaunchpad and then reboot.
