I see that I've went from Expert to Lord of Gaming in rank.

Is Lord of Gaming a special rank, or is it the rank in between Expert and Way Too Much Free Time?

Kinda curious.

The only flaw is that mario baddies aren't related to DOS games.

However, at least most people should know who the mario characters are. It would be silly to base our ranks off of Cosmo's enemies for example.

My thought is to have a kind of Elites rank, where they can have extended powers over a normal member, yet still below a mod.

Example, can post in closed threads, delete own posts, have a custom icon than the rest [may I suggest a Luigi or Yoshi icon?]

I've done that before on a forum of mine, and it seemed like a nigh-useless yet good idea.

I'm not particularly fussed with the ranking system. On a lot of boards the mods and admins have custom ranks, but since we get so many guests here I think it's better that we have the generic Moderator and Admin titles so they don't get confused and what not.

Despite that, what, half the mods here have custom ranks? Heh, Emmzee will know by looking at the ranks section that I've added a fair number of "secret" ranks, and I've even seen some of those ranks when members have them. To date, though, nobody else has even mentioned them - which is odd.

I noticed the 'Antichrist' one that people get on 666 posts. As for the custom ranks mod/admin titles, true enough I guess, but you, emmzee, Wally and myself are the only regular mods and admins and we don't have custom ranks which is what I was getting at.
