Just wondering if anyone watches smackdown and if they've seen recent episodes.

you don't need pay per view for episodes of SmackDown or RAW. smackdown's on UPN Fridays 7:00 PM centeral time. And RAW is on USA Network Mondays but I don't know what time. You only need pay per view for special events like No Way Out this Sunday, or the upcoming highly anticipated WrestleMania 22. I'm not a big wrestling fan myself, it just interests me somehow.

Not pay per view, pay TV. There's a difference, and you're forgetting I live in Australia not the US.

Yeah well there are some costs involved with setting it up so you can get it down here, but for what you get it's way over priced.

We still get plenty of American shows free, I think most of the big budget ones and the better sitcoms / cartoons.

It's just that we have to pay to see the really redneck (and a little gay: you know, a few naked guys grabbing at each other) stuff like wrestling and hunting :P Most of the pay TV is specialty channels and lots of reruns of Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama etc. It's the only way to see a few things (seinfeld is the main one I can think of), but most of it is just repeats or crap.

I've heard of some politician killing someone, but don't know any of the specifics.

Don’t get me wrong the majority of American shows are shown for free, but things like WWE are on Pay TV. And yes I heard about the vice president thing, it was on the news. And the countless jokes made about it are all over the web.

Indr16-> Dude, You gotta pay for cable and satelite. TV Channels. You can have free TV, but it's CRAP, and about 4 channels.
Downloading is usually ILLEGAL.

The point is it's illegal so you will stop discussing it now.
