Console War

Post by GameMaster.EXE »

Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo are fighting their ass with their soon-to-be-released game consoles, the Xbox360, PlayStation3, and Nintendo Revoulotion.

Which one do you like, which one do you dislike, which one are you buying and why?

I suppose I'm leaning more towards the Xbox 360 just because I already own an Xbox ;)

However, I like what the PS3 has to offer as well so it may come down to what the controller and/or the launch titles are like.
Suck it down!

Haven't been paying much attention to this latest war: I guess I'd side with the XBox 360 just cos my brother has an Xbox.

I like the look of nintendo's new controller, should be interesting to see how / if it works once released. However, nintendo's attempts since the 64 have been poor. IMO, Nintendo never had the best hardware, but always seemed to have good games: the problem is their newer games are just recycling their old characters/ideas. I like the rumours of a built-in emulator so we can play the old NES / SNES games on it.

Playstation never really tempted me: They probably have the best hardware but I haven't seen an interesting PS game that I can't get on PC or Xbox.

There's no doubt in my mind, Nintendo's going to kick ass. Both Sony and MS are going for the same old OMG GFX OMG OMG crap that I hate. Graphics don't make good games. Look at Doom 3. I'm going for the Revolution for the following reasons:

-It's Nintendo :)
-It has Zelda :)
-I like the controller
-I don't like PS/XBox. All the games are just meh... nothing special.

The Revolution will be backwards compatible so I can leave the Gamecube at home so my sister has something to play...AND HOPEFULLY SHE WILL QUIT HER BITCHING. ARGARGARGARGARGA

I played it a few years ago. My mate was cleaning out his garage and came across his old Atari, so we fired it up and were surprised to find that it still worked. Good times.
