some are actually registry entries in RegEdit!!

couldn't you see them in ANY registry editor? One more question... you're an insider. Any plans on Norton putting in a real-time spyware scan? Or is it more of the fact that it'd be WAY too annoying that they don't have it in there now?

Its practically all the flaws in the windows files they make the viruses out of

MSCONFIG is one way to disable them.

(read the URL... obviously not real...) anyway, it's really not too bad depending on the nature of the virus and the AV software that you have.
