DOS Games Online site updates

Post by Joris »

Ok, another topic here... Right after the new design I updated the site with six games:

- Cribbage Solitaire
- Letter Targets:
- Diamond Grabber 1
- Diamond Grabber 2
- Dammen
- Monopoly

All the games that are added are reviewed too. The first four games are listed at the Miscellaneous games page, the latest two are added to the Non-English games page. Because I added Monopoly it overwrited another game called Monopoly. I am searching for the Monopoly game made by Richard Tom. If you know where to get it, please mail me...

If you experience any troubles at the update, please post it here.

I was browsing through the gamepage today and I found out that there were 6 games without a screenshot: Hextris, Lingo, Outlaw 97, Viper, Warcraft 2 and Worms. I made screenshots for this game and now all games have a screenshot.

I also added two racegames: Formula 1 Grand Prix and Highway Hunter. And I have more games on my to-do list to add, so come back soon to see them!

Ok, that's all for today. I'll send the newsletter in a moment. Sign up if you like to recieve it in your mailbox.

See you!

Highway hunter falls more into the Arcade, or Space shooter category.

The total gamecount now is 214.

I also added another utility: CWSDPMI. You can download it on our utilities page.

Ok, that's all. See you at the next update!

Hiya people. As you might have noticed, I haven't updated the website in the past few days. That's because we were switching nameservers and it took some time before it worked well. But it works now and I'm glad about that. For the people who are interested what actualy changes now: the URL. Before we switched nameservers you were redirected to http://www.dosgames.com/~dgonline/. You won't be redirected now, and the URL's will look like http://www.dosgamesonline.com/index.php?page=home. This looks better, more professional in my opinion. It's a long story which you won't understand if you're not into HTML, PHP and some other programming languages and domain settings. Great thanks to Darren for helping me with this. Without him, dosgamesonline.com wouldn't even excist anymore.

I added a couple of games. Four to be exact. Here they are:

- EGA Trek
- SuperFly
- Tile Match
- Whiplash

Enjoy ;)

There were some people who mailed me that they can't download a game. I can't say it enough times; you should put your download managers off, and if you have Norton firewall, you should put them off too. Sorry about that, but otherwise it's possible that people leech files from our server. All the problems should be fixed now, so try downloading the game again and I'm sure it will work.

Ok people, I'm now out for sending the newsletter of this week. See ya!

Well what I told you there is almost everything, but I can make it much longer if I want to :D

Anyway:
DOS Games Online wrote: It's a sunny day today, so I'm in a good mood and I added three games. Here they are:

- Jetpack
- Paganitzu
- Squarez

Oh, how exciting! We almost pass the 250 games!

DGO is becoming more and more unique thanks to more games that DGC and DGA don't have. :D

Hi! Good news today! There are now 251 downloadable games on dosgamesonline.com! Weee!

Uhuhm, I added two games today:

- Manic Miner
- Jet Set Willy

Check it out at www.dosgamesonline.com. The total gamecount now is 251. Erik made a system yesterday that allows me to upload two or even three screenshots for each game, so I tested the script with these two games. For as far as I can see it works fine. Great work Erik.

One thing I'd like to mention before I go is the newsletter. Sign up to recieve the latest news of dosgamesonline.com in your mailbox!

Well, see you at the next update!
