And not to forget, Windows has 4 or 5 registered US keyboard layouts.

You could make it happen though by moving the [ ] and and replacing the other keys to QWERSTYUIOP

ok, i thought he ment Disgusting too... Anyway, I too hate Abbreviations in most cases. Computer terms don't bother me b/c I use them all the time. I also seem to use b/c a lot too.

Mesh. I have a QWERTY though I do know someone in Australia who has another key set. (Until today I didn't know what that was though)

What's the point, though? QWERTY was designed in 1850 or so to be the fastest key set available for English-are Australian hands somehow different?

Yeah, I tried talking in Dvorak for about 2 sentences. It took me half an hour to write 'Linux'.

As for QWERSTY, someone just changed around the keys on me.

Here's the problem for me: I'm an entirely touch based typist-I use the ridges on the "f" and "j" keys to navigate my way around the keyboard and type at about 80 WPM. I never look so switching to a new key set would be absolute torture for me. (and slow me down by about 50 WPM)

What? You can't find j or F1? Well, J has the little side on it, so you can tell it from H and K. But you can't tell it from F without looking or guessing.

I agree w/ Dogbreath. But it would be just like learning QWERTY for the first time... It'd take a bit to learn, but become natural after a while.
