Hugo's House Of Horrors, made by David P. Gray in 1994, is a great game. As Hugo, you explorea large spooky mansion, trying to save your girlfriend Penelope.
Gameplay:
In HHH, you basically walk around, talk to different characters and get different items.This is what makes the gameplay so great and with a good Sierra-style interface, you can't go wrong. The parser has quite a wide vocabulary, and typing certain things can get quite an interesting response.
Control:
Simple and perfect. You use the up, down, left and right keys to move around. The only problem is Hugo sometimes moves too slowly.
Sound/Music
Beep-Boop-Dd-d-d-d. The sound is quite horrible. The music playing when you are in front of the mansion is okay, but even that gets repetetive after a while.
Replay:
A pretty short game, but good. Without a walkthrough it might take you a while, but most of the puzzles aren't too hard to figure out.
Graphics:
The graphics mostly look good, and they suit the style of the game. Inside the house, you can tell what the rooms and everything else is supposed to be. Hugo looks pretty blocky, though.

) The Windows version has way better Graphics an has MIDI Throuou the entire game. The Areas are exactly the same and it runs in a window And has mouse dpaintand click interface! But its not any different that affects gameplay. Runs Smoother too. But my final conclusion: DOS version- 6/10 Win Version- 9/10
