I'm trying to get an old game to work(Janes ATf) in dos and I need to get my cd to work. I have heard you need to do something with this to use the cd drive in dos. I have it on a dos startup disk and i have no idea what to do with it to get it to use my cd drive in dos.

There should be a line in the CONFIG.SYS on the disk that loads it.

I got the DOS boot disk from there. Boot disks aren't really useful for stuff like games and web browsers. If you have Win 9x:
Windows 98: Hold CTRL while turning on your computer:
Any Windows: After [OEM SCREEN]: Press F8

Code: Select all

Select Command Prompt.
C:\> D:
Invalid Drive Specification.
C:\>DOSSTART
[PROGRAMS LOADING]
C:\>D:
D:\>
