Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye for DOS

Post by Tombstone »

Now that my 133 MHz DOS machine is up and running, I've installed most of my oldskool games on it. But in a couple of cases, I've run into a snag. The snag is known as "floppy disks suck".

One of my two installation disks for Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye is totally hosed. The other one was pretty screwed too, but I've recovered the data from it thanks to Norton Disk Doctor.

Activision basically laughed at me, so what I need therefore, is for someone to TRUST that I bought and paid for this game a long time ago, and send me images (WinImage preferred) of the install disks.

Moderators: This is NOT a request for warez. I OWN this game legally, I just need some "tech support" which the distributor is unable or unwilling to provide.

Uggg... Activision just so happens to be a IDSA member company so locating this "tech support" is slightly harder than locating Dick Cheney and once you do find it the IDSA secret police will come for you. :(

Fortunetely, I just so happen to know where you can get a copy of #1... (check your PM box) for #2 you're on your own.

Yeah, I know... but it's still illegal, reguardless of whether it is right or not.

How about just the help files...? That would be okay, right?

help.txt
help1.txt
help2.txt
help3.txt
msgs.txt
windows.txt
fortunes.txt
credits.txt

Could someone just zip those babies up and e-mail them to me (in english if you don't mind)?

I've managed to recover or replace just about everything else...

I mean Jesus H. Christ, I do own the stinking game legally after all... I just need some replacement files that are corrupted because floppies suck rocks. I don't think that makes me Long John Silver...
