DOS. Just Superb.

Post by GusCE6 »

To be honest I sort of missed out on DOS gaming during the 1990s, as those were bad years.

A pity. In recent years I rediscovered DOS and realized what I had missed. "Inherit the Earth," "Darkseed," "Terminal Velocity" (still one of the best first-person shooters to date), earlier ones like "Wizardry," the list is long.

Less than two years ago I stumbled across text game engines; first "TextWorld" (White Divine's) and later "AGT" which is by far my favorite. I was able to modify it in a number of ways so now it can do things not possible for it before.

I'm wondering...how well would games like "Luxis" and "Undertale" come out in DOS? "Gardenscapes" (hidden-object one)? Games like "Foxtail" and "Beyond the Edge of Owlswood" would come out well, for obvious reasons, but what about others?

Hello to all here, by the way. First post! :bday:
